South Africa’s national airline is South African Airways, with the company offering flights from a number of worldwide destinations. Prices vary, but start at around £430 one way from London Heathrow to Cape Town. Flights from London to Cape Town take approximately 11 hours and 30 minutes, and from New York to Johannesburg take around 15 hours. Cape Town’s international airport offers taxis, coach, train and bus services into different areas and facilities include restaurants, banks, bureau de changes and post offices, amongst other things. The same services can be expected of the international airports at Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Durban and Port Elizabeth.
